Model S12 Our Polish Folk-Style footwear is produced in Poland and recently promoted by TatraShoes.com on the Midwest of the United States, with its office in Missouri.We produce regional folk-style and orthopaedic footwear made from genuine leather and highest quality components, which is produced manually in 70 %. We offer approximately 80 designs of all-seasons and indoor footwear e.g., original highlander leather slippers (kierpce). In the Tatry mountain region of southern Poland, there is an area known as Podhale inhabited by gorale, literally highlanders. To this day many of the highlanders in Podhale still wear their distinctive clothing we would call a folk costume, except that strictly speaking it is not a costume since it is still commonly worn.The footwear worn by both men and women are called kierpce and they are made from leather (either sheepskin, pigskin or cowhide). Kierpce with added soles and heels are made for outdoor use. Our kierpce are made for indoor wear, like slippers or mocassins which have no added soles or heals; like ballet slippers they are very soft and perfect for Polish dancing.The top and sides of the kierpce are highly decorated with brass findings and a buckle and feature extensive designs burned into the leather. They look as good as they feel. The best kierpce are made from sheepskin which are thicker, very supple and soft to the touch. We make felt indoor slippers, sandals, flip-flops, clogs, children´s ankle boots, sheepskin carpet slippers, woolen thermal boots etc. Our footwear is mounted on leather, rubber and polyurethane soles that have shock-absorption and anti-slip qualities that prevent backache. Footwear innersoles and uppers are made from genuine leather (lambskin, cowhide and pigskin). Our products are sold in Poland and exported to many EU countries, USA, Russia and Australia. They have been approved by the Main Center of Medical Technology and by The National Arts Committee. Our products combine proper construction with a wide array of designs - all to protect your feet better.
